Since a modded xbox allows you to play pirated games then modding or purchasing an xbox is against the law as well. But don’t take my word for it, all you have to do is look it up online to see what’s going on.

Maybe you are wondering what the big deal is? It’s not like anyone would ever know. So, no harm, no foul right? Wrong. If you go the modding route then as soon as you try to connect to XBOX live your xbox with the xbox mod chip will be banned! If you think this sounds bad, you have no idea. Not only will Microsoft permanently ban you from xbox live, meaning no more game updates, XBLA, marketplace content, netflix or sky player, but they will also ban your hard drive! That’s right they will disable your hard drive installs on your banned xbox mod chip console so you won’t even be able to play the disk-based games you have! What are you gonna do with a completely useless XBOX? You won’t even be able to sell it for more than about $100 bucks on Ebay or Craigslist! What a waste of money! You DO NOT want this to happen to you.

Alright, let’s recap. You save up and buy your xbox 360, pay extra to install your xbox mod chip, Microsoft bans you, and all you can do is sell your now worthless xbox at a loss. Crazy, right? I don’t know about you but I have better things to do with my money than waste it on something like this.

So what’s the solution? Instead of wasting 250 bucks by installing a mod chip to your xbox, you should be saving your money and simply burning xbox games or copying xbox 360 games.

Unlike modding, burning xbox games for your personal use is 100% legal and you don’t have to worry about being banned from Xbox Live. And if that right there wasn’t enough, you can save yourself money by backing up your original games and playing them on your original xbox.

So, which option are you gonna choose. The illegal, difficult route that will end up costing you more in the long run, OR the perfectly legal, simple option that will do nothing but continue to save you money and frustration.

Sounds like a no-brainer to me.
